Margaux Jones, aka MJ, is a Seattle-based artist, writer, mother, and lover of all things magical, especially crows. She attended Parson's School of Design yet her unique technique of telling stories through digital collage is self-taught and has been her passion for over 10 years. Nature and its creatures are a familiar theme in MJ's work, however, having grown up south of Boston her collages are heavily influenced by the energy of the city.

The main thing I love about this deck – apart from Crows, obviously – is the way textures are given to the backgrounds. The artist used images of different materials such as sweety wrappers or scrunched up silver foil to provide colors, shapes and texture in the collages that make up each card. This technique works very well for me! The Hermit immediately got my attention. It is one of my favorite Tarot cards anyway, so I am very pleased to see such a beautiful rendition of it here. The rusty-gold color is so warm and a nice contrast to the snowy landscape, and that tree… haunting! Love it! I like all 4 of the Aces, they all have clear elements of what they represent – sometimes this gets lost in these themed decks, with the theme taking priority over clarity, but I think the artist has balanced this deck sufficiently well for anyone used to RWS style Tarot decks to find their way when wondering through these cards…

Simply amazing. I sold out right away and I am reordering. If you are a fan of crows, need I say anything else. MJ nailed this deck. The images and feel of the satin smooth cards and deck are a winner. The colors are soothing and warm. Get this deck!
